Kanji are Chinese characters used in Japanese writing. The JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is a test to evaluate the language proficiency for non-native speakers; it consists of five levels of certification, 5 being the lowest and 1 the most advanced. There aren't official, fixed lists of kanji for each JLPT level; this app uses the lists from kanjiapi.dev
